BGO 16-slice PET/CT
Refurbished GE Discovery ST 16 PET/CT — the original Discovery ST family pairing a 16-slice GE LightSpeed-class CT base with a BGO (bismuth germanate) PET detector ring. Generation pre-dates Time-of-Flight and LYSO crystal upgrades, but the platform remains an extremely common install base across oncology PET/CT programs because of its proven reliability, wide field service network, and low entry price. Typical clinical use cases are FDG oncology staging/restaging, lymphoma follow-up, lung-nodule evaluation, and cardiac viability where TOF performance is not required. Compared to a Discovery STE, the Discovery ST predates the STE's detector and reconstruction refresh; compared to the Discovery 600/610 family, it gives up MotionFree and modern reconstruction in exchange for a much lower capital cost. Buyers often choose this system for budget outpatient programs, secondary mobile units, or international deployments. MIS sources, refurbishes, deinstalls, ships, installs, applications-trains, and supports the Discovery ST 16 with parts inventory and engineer-led service. Mobile leasing is available.
